&lt;p>Before creating your first vinification you must configure the app once. This involves
the &lt;strong>Vinification Setup&lt;/strong> page, the grape and wine &lt;strong>items&lt;/strong>, and the wine treatment
&lt;strong>reason codes&lt;/strong>.&lt;/p>

Use the &lt;strong>Navigate&lt;/strong> action on a line to inspect all related documents and entries.&lt;/p>
&lt;h2 id="release">Release&lt;/h2>
&lt;p>Before releasing, you must assign lot numbers to the output products.&lt;/p>
&lt;p>When the document is complete, &lt;strong>release&lt;/strong> it to generate the wine treatment production
orders.&lt;/p>
&lt;h2 id="automatic-creation">Automatic creation&lt;/h2>
&lt;p>When many grape receipts have been posted, you can create vinification documents for them in
one operation using the &lt;strong>Create Vinifications&lt;/strong> report, instead of creating each document
manually.&lt;/p>
&lt;h2 id="what-the-report-does">What the report does&lt;/h2>
&lt;p>The report scans posted &lt;strong>grape receipts&lt;/strong> (purchase receipt item ledger entries that
originate from delivery orders) and creates one vinification document per group of grapes,
grouped by &lt;strong>Item No.&lt;/strong>, &lt;strong>Variant Code&lt;/strong> and &lt;strong>Location Code&lt;/strong>. Each created document is
populated with date, item, variant and location, and the matching grape entries are added as
vinification lines automatically.&lt;/p>
&lt;h2 id="running-the-report">Running the report&lt;/h2>

&lt;p>The report only processes item ledger entries that:&lt;/p>

&lt;li>have the specified &lt;strong>posting date&lt;/strong>;&lt;/li>
&lt;li>are &lt;strong>purchase receipts&lt;/strong> originating from a delivery order;&lt;/li>
&lt;li>have a &lt;strong>positive quantity&lt;/strong> still available (not yet fully handled by other vinifications);&lt;/li>
&lt;li>are not corrections.&lt;/li>
&lt;/ul>
&lt;p>This ensures grapes already consumed by existing vinifications are not used twice.&lt;/p>
&lt;h2 id="after-the-run">After the run&lt;/h2>

&lt;p>Before a vinification can be released, every output product that requires lot tracking must
have its full output quantity distributed across one or more &lt;strong>lot numbers&lt;/strong>. The
&lt;strong>Lot Assignment&lt;/strong> window guides you through this.&lt;/p>
&lt;h2 id="when-does-it-appear">When does it appear?&lt;/h2>
&lt;p>The Lot Assignment window opens automatically as part of the &lt;strong>Release&lt;/strong> action when one or more output items require lot numbers. You assign the lots, confirm, and the release continues.&lt;/p>
&lt;h2 id="the-lot-assignment-window">The Lot Assignment window&lt;/h2>
&lt;p>The window has two parts:&lt;/p>
&lt;ul>
&lt;li>An upper list of &lt;strong>output items&lt;/strong> that need lot numbers.&lt;/li>
&lt;li>A lower &lt;strong>Lot No. Lines&lt;/strong> part where you enter the lot numbers and quantities for the
selected item.&lt;/li>

&lt;h2 id="generating-a-lot-number-automatically">Generating a lot number automatically&lt;/h2>
&lt;ol>
&lt;li>On a Lot No. line, choose the assist-edit (…) button in the &lt;strong>Lot No.&lt;/strong> field.&lt;/li>
&lt;li>Confirm the prompt to generate a lot number from the item configuration.&lt;/li>
&lt;li>The system generates the lot number using:
&lt;ul>
&lt;li>the item&amp;rsquo;s &lt;strong>Lot No. Formula&lt;/strong> (EOS WINE formula), if defined; otherwise&lt;/li>
&lt;li>the item&amp;rsquo;s &lt;strong>Lot Nos.&lt;/strong> number series.&lt;/li>
&lt;/ul>
&lt;/li>
&lt;li>If the lot number does not yet exist, the corresponding &lt;strong>Lot No. Information&lt;/strong> record is
created automatically.&lt;/li>
&lt;/ol>
&lt;p>If neither a formula nor a number series is configured on the item, type the lot number
manually.&lt;/p>
&lt;blockquote>
&lt;p>Each lot number must be unique within the assignment — assigning the same lot twice is
rejected.&lt;/p>
&lt;/blockquote>
&lt;h2 id="confirming">Confirming&lt;/h2>
&lt;p>When the &lt;strong>Remaining Quantity&lt;/strong> is zero for all output items, choose &lt;strong>Confirm&lt;/strong>. The window
closes and the release proceeds. If you cancel instead, the release is aborted and the
document stays in &lt;em>Processing&lt;/em>.&lt;/p>
&lt;h2 id="output-item-lot-numbers-on-the-card">Output item lot numbers on the card&lt;/h2>
&lt;p>The output &lt;strong>… Lot No.&lt;/strong> fields in the &lt;strong>Items&lt;/strong> group of the Vinification card show the lot
assigned to each single-lot output. For outputs split across several lots, the detailed

&lt;p>A vinification document moves through three statuses: &lt;strong>Processing&lt;/strong>, &lt;strong>Released&lt;/strong> and
&lt;strong>Closed&lt;/strong>. Four actions on the Vinification card move it between these states.&lt;/p>

&lt;p>&lt;strong>Available when:&lt;/strong> Status = &lt;em>Processing&lt;/em>.&lt;/p>
&lt;p>Choose &lt;strong>Release&lt;/strong> to post the consumption and output entries for all vinification phases.&lt;/p>
&lt;p>What happens:&lt;/p>
&lt;ol>
&lt;li>If output items require lot tracking, the &lt;a href="04-Lot-Assignment.md">Lot Assignment&lt;/a> window
opens so you can distribute the output quantities across lot numbers.&lt;/li>
&lt;li>The system creates the &lt;strong>wine treatment production orders&lt;/strong> — one per relevant phase
(vinification, fermentation, wine production, cellar surplus and, for white wines,
coal treatment), using the reason codes from &lt;a href="02-Setup.md">Setup&lt;/a>.&lt;/li>
&lt;li>The document status changes to &lt;strong>Released&lt;/strong> and the document becomes locked.&lt;/li>
&lt;/ol>
&lt;p>After release, the &lt;strong>Wine Treatments&lt;/strong> section appears on the card.&lt;/p>
&lt;h2 id="reopen-released">Reopen released&lt;/h2>
&lt;p>&lt;strong>Available when:&lt;/strong> Status = &lt;em>Released&lt;/em>.&lt;/p>
&lt;p>Choose &lt;strong>Reopen released&lt;/strong> to undo the release. The system reverses all posted entries and
deletes the wine treatment production orders, returning the status to &lt;strong>Processing&lt;/strong> so you
can make corrections.&lt;/p>
&lt;h2 id="close">Close&lt;/h2>
&lt;p>&lt;strong>Available when:&lt;/strong> Status = &lt;em>Released&lt;/em>.&lt;/p>
&lt;p>Choose &lt;strong>Close&lt;/strong> to finalise the vinification. The system verifies that &lt;strong>all&lt;/strong> wine
treatment production orders have been posted. If so, the status changes to &lt;strong>Closed&lt;/strong> and no
further modifications are allowed.&lt;/p>
&lt;blockquote>
&lt;p>If some treatments are not yet posted, closing is not allowed — post the outstanding
treatments first.&lt;/p>
&lt;/blockquote>
&lt;h2 id="reopen-closed">Reopen closed&lt;/h2>
&lt;p>&lt;strong>Available when:&lt;/strong> Status = &lt;em>Closed&lt;/em>.&lt;/p>
&lt;p>Choose &lt;strong>Reopen closed&lt;/strong> to revert a closed vinification. The system reverses all
consumption and output entries generated by the wine treatments, sets the wine treatment
production orders to &lt;strong>Finished&lt;/strong> state, and the status returns to &lt;strong>Processing&lt;/strong> so you
can make corrections.&lt;/p>
&lt;h2 id="wine-treatments-section">Wine Treatments section&lt;/h2>
&lt;p>Once a vinification is released, the &lt;strong>Wine Treatments&lt;/strong> part shows the production orders in

&lt;li>Locate the sale entry you want to trace (each row corresponds to a sales item ledger

&lt;li>In the &lt;strong>Vinification No.&lt;/strong> field, choose the lookup. The system shows only the
&lt;strong>compatible&lt;/strong> vinifications based on the rules above.&lt;/li>
&lt;li>Select the vinification. The link is saved and the linked quantities are calculated.&lt;/li>
&lt;/ol>
&lt;h2 id="viewing-linked-sales-on-the-vinification">Viewing linked sales on the vinification&lt;/h2>
&lt;p>On the &lt;strong>Vinification&lt;/strong> card, when sales have been linked, the &lt;strong>Sales Details&lt;/strong> section
appears (read-only) showing the sales tied to that vinification: item ledger entry number,
document number, posting date, item and lot number.&lt;/p>
&lt;h2 id="statistics">Statistics&lt;/h2>
&lt;p>Choose &lt;strong>Statistics&lt;/strong> (F7) on the Vinification card to open the &lt;strong>Vinification Statistics&lt;/strong>
page. It summarises the total &lt;strong>consumed&lt;/strong> and &lt;strong>produced&lt;/strong> quantities for the vinification,
computed from the item ledger entries, without allowing edits.&lt;/p>
&lt;h2 id="consumption-and-production-charts">Consumption and production charts&lt;/h2>
&lt;p>The Vinification card can display two charts:&lt;/p>
&lt;ul>
&lt;li>&lt;strong>Consumptions Chart&lt;/strong> — visualises consumption of grapes, grape must, treated grape must
and fermenting wine.&lt;/li>
&lt;li>&lt;strong>Production Chart&lt;/strong> — visualises production output: stems, destemmed grape, grape pomace,
grape must and treated grape must.&lt;/li>
&lt;/ul>
&lt;p>These charts give an at-a-glance view of how the batch is progressing.&lt;/p>
&lt;h2 id="sales-list">Sales List&lt;/h2>
&lt;p>The &lt;strong>Sales List&lt;/strong> page lists all sales item ledger entries (entry type Sale, excluding
corrections) with entry number, posting date, document type and number, line number, item,
lot, quantity and location code — a convenient starting point for selecting sales to trace.&lt;/p></description></item></channel></rss>
